Steven G. Tiner, Senior Pastor
Steven Tiner, the 23rd Pastor
to the Levy Pulpit, came to
North Little Rock in November,
2003, from Dermott Baptist
Church. Having received
excellent and superior ratings
from the Arkansas Speech
Communication Association, he
has served as keynote speaker at
events in churches in Arkansas,
Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma,
Louisiana, Texas and Mexico
City.
Recognized for his design of worship services, Pastor Tiner's unique World Communion Sunday service was featured in
Let's Worship, the Southern Baptist journal for helping pastors and other worship leaders in planning worship. He writes a weekly column for the North Little Rock Times, Sherwood Voice, Maumelle Monitor,
and the Arkansas Baptist News.
He is the author of,
"Angels: God's Heavenly Beings",
and "Enter His Gates", a daily
devotional book, published
quarterly. Pastor Tiner’s clever design of the Levy Baptist weekly newsletter, The Open Door, received accolades in The Newsletter Newsletter, a monthly resource for those who design and prepare church publications.
In January of 2008, he was named
Chaplain of the
Arkansas Queen.
Pastor
Tiner has conducted two trips to
the Holy Land, a pilgrimage on
the Journeys of Paul, participated in
the International Congress on
Preaching in Cambridge, England,
and is planning a third pilgrimage
to the Holy Land and Egypt,
leaving March 17, 2009. Prior to his arrival at
Levy, he served churches in
Dermott, Gould, Dumas, and
Conway. He married Theresa
Maynard, now Tiner, on August
22, 1998. They reside today in North
Little Rock.
Dale R.
Clancy, Assistant to the Pastor
in Music and Administration
Dale Clancy began service at
Levy Baptist Church on October 22,
2006. Coming to Levy from
Hattiesburg, MS, where he
formerly served 38th Avenue,
19th Avenue, and Oak Grove
Baptist Churches, Dale is a
graduate of William Carey
College, receiving his degree in
Church Music.
Dale's desire is to grow the
church musically and spiritually
and lead the church to worship
God in spirit and in truth.
A chaplain with the North Little
Rock Police Department, Dale was
born in Anahiem, California and has lived in Hawaii,
Tennessee, and Mississippi. He
surrendered to the ministry at
age 15, while living in Pukalani,
HI.
Dale was ordained on July 8,
2007, at Levy Baptist Church
with his father, Rev. Dale
J. Clancy, preaching the ordination
sermon. He also serves as a
volunteer chaplain for the North
Little Rock Police Department.
