Glenda Nash Mitchell, Administrative Assistant to the Pastor

Glenda Nash Mitchell, a native of Oklahoma, joined the Levy Baptist staff in February 2003 as Administrative Assistant to the Pastor. Glenda moved to Arkansas in 1958. Prior to her arrival at Levy, she worked at the Scottish Rite Temple in McAlister, Oklahoma, National Investor's Life Insurance Company for 15 years and Aegon Life Insurance Company for 13 years. She retired from Aegon in September 1997 and worked part time at the Allen Gillespie Insurance Agency until coming to Levy Baptist. She has been a member of Levy since March 10, 2003.
Glenda has one daughter, two sons, and five grandchildren. She is married to Jack Mitchell of North Little Rock, AR.

Wilma Bowens, Sexton

 

 

Aaron Ring, Assistant Sexton

Aaron Ring serves as Assistant to the Sexton. The father of Sage and Sharpe, Aaron is also employed by the Arkansas State Highway Department as a Construction Supervisor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Bert Otto Miller, Sanctuary Organist

Dr. Bert Otto Miller, a Little Rock optometrist for more than 50 years, is Levy's Sanctuary Organist.
Miller has previously served in Little Rock 's First Baptist Church , Markham Street Baptist, Geyer Springs Methodist, St. Andrew's Cathedral, and North Little Rock 's First Presbyterian Church. He has also filled in at other Baptist churches and a Christian Science church.
“I take jobs in helping others to do the things musically they thought they couldn't do,” Miller explains. 
Miller has played the organ for the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Arkansas for more than 44 years, and last year they presented him with a Medal of Honor, the group's highest award. He has also played organ for the Shriners since he was 22.
Miller can be heard on the organ at Levy Baptist each Lord's Day for Sunday morning and evening worship services.

Lucy Smith, Church Chef

Lucy Smith serves as our church Chef. She is responsible for preparing meals for 5th Sunday luncheons, Levy Mid-Week dinners, and special events of the church.
